February 23rd, 2011 was the 75th anniversary of the historic 1936 launching of the Gloria rocket planes on the ice at Greenwood Lake.
EAA 501 members did a restoration of one of the planes and since 1991 it has hung in the Great Room of the New Jersey Aviation Hall of Fame and Museum at Teterboro, a tribute to rocket scientists of the early days.
