Suez Canal transit southbound on September 11, 1965 We had a Russian pilot aboard. He never got out of our sight.

Underway on a hot day in the Red Sea in September 1965. That's HMC Paul Bush and Ens Ron Wolfe. Many canopies were strung over the main decks in the Middle East to keep the temperature below 100 degrees in the compartments below.
